Report a concern

If you are worried that a young person is being harmed or is at risk, tell Teqia. You do not need an account, and you do not have to give your name.

If someone is in danger right now, do not use this form. Call the police on 112 or 199, or take them to the nearest hospital. Then, when they are safe, tell Teqia on +234 902 330 2308.

What happens after you send this

  1. It reaches one person. Teqia’s safeguarding lead, and nobody else. Not your mentor, not the programme team.
  2. You get a reference. Write it down, especially if you did not leave your name. Call or email Teqia with it and the safeguarding lead can tell you where the report has got to.
  3. You hear back within a day, if you left a way to reach you. Serious reports are looked at the same day.
  4. Teqia may have to tell someone else. If a child is at risk of serious harm, Teqia has to involve the authorities. Teqia will tell you if that happens, unless doing so would put someone in more danger.
What is this about?

Pick whichever is closest. If none of them fit, choose the last one.

Write it however you like. Dates, places and names help, but tell us even if you only know a little.

Your name

You do not have to give it. Teqia will look into the report either way. Leaving your name lets the safeguarding lead come back to you if something is unclear.

What you write here goes to Teqia’s safeguarding lead. It is not shown to mentors, other students or anyone else at Teqia, and every time the record is opened, Teqia notes who opened it.
